The address will focus on the emergence of interest-based negotiations throughout the world as a method of solving problems.

Collaborative law, which started with family law, is now expanding into other areas including civil, probate, guardianship, real estate and employment law. The concept focuses on goals and interests of individuals rather than using a traditional method of dispute resolution, which focuses on each side taking positions.

Camille Milner practices collaborative law in Denton. She is a member of the board of trustees for the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and is a trainer in collaborative law.
